No one asked so I said it anyway.....

Looks like everyone's showing how important their opinion is to everyone else with these top 5 of 2007 lists. Every list I have taken a gander upon pretty much suck. So, like you would expect from I, here is my non-sucky top 5 HIP HOP albums of 2007 (In no particular order):

1. El-P "I'll Sleep When You're Dead"/Aesop Rock "None Shall Pass"
2. C Rayz Walz & Sharkey "Monster Maker"/C Rayz Walz "Chorus Rhyme"
3. Rahiem Jamal "BoomBox"
4. Sean Price "Jesus Price SuperStar"
5. I actually listed 6, but counted the 2 Def Jux releases as one entry and did the same for the C Rayz affiliated releases...In all honesty 2007 wasn't all that great a year for releases, though, a lot of cats will argue with me about that.....Let's see what happens this year with record sales being so great thanks to digital downloads and ring tones and ish.....

Every album listed is straight independant, f*ck all you chumps listing ish 10 year old girls "obviously" listen to like Kanye West, Jay-Z, 50 Cent....That ish is mad pre-teen, TRL, 106 & Park...I'm in my 30s and have no aspirations to get down in the realm of tight jeans, Bathing Apes, and overpriced/loud zip up hoodies...A whole lot of yall forgot where Hip Hop came from and what it really is, but that's cause ya mad insecure of ya coolness now that you got a little older. Notice I ain't include anything I might have appeared on nor did I cheerlead for my "music buddies" by cosigning someone close to I's greatness....Rap is becoming an increasingly demeaning form of entertainment "hella accellerated" like Del said on the 11th Hour DVD.

....I'll ask Esh what his was and get that to yall asap....

Anyone hear that RhymeFest "Man In The Mirror" Michael Jackson mix CD (download, FREE dowload)? I'm not even a fan, especially since the time we opened up for Wu along w/ Fest and his DJ tried to utter smart gestures under his breath concerning my sneaker choice, but this ish is bananas and I can't stop listening to it.....But you know, go enjoy ya Kanye, Hova, Fitty Cent cocktail....Keep it real, gang.

peace.

January down, 11 more to go.....

Wowsers on that party, Scoob....
Out of control at its finest.
To the 100+ attendees that either participated, added on, or found out and came through...Thank you mucho....Honestly don't remember much between the constant flow of brew and tree and having to entertain yall on some host-the-party ish...
I stumbled out at like 3AM and I hear stragglers ain't bounce 'til like 6AM.....yall are crazy without the Brian Thello.....
Anyhow, Esh is in motion finishing up his debut now that the festivities are over and done with. We swear it was just XMas last week but whatever yo.....
All area crews killed ish:
Awkward Landing
Need Not Worry

Poorly Drawn People (Storm, good looks on ALL ya help, fam)
Sneaky Pete (Good looks on the video footage!)
Vice Versah
...and the sound selektas alike:
Swerv One
Sterby Rock
Save1
DJ AlBums
(Good ish on being communal with ya equipment)
...DJ-I-Want-My-$$-Back didn't catch too much shine due to his beer soaked records and poor time scheduling in keeping things moving...I mighta got like 5 to 7 records off and then misplaced all of them....
Ref, you were the king of cups and crowd control (you too Strest!)....
Other than that, most feedback has been exceedingly great.
Bottom line, good lookin out yall, the party blew past our expectations but you will probably never see us pull some ish off like that ever again.
Deebs, good looks on the location, too bad that joint is no more in like a few days. I'd list off the countless attendees so yall can see yall's name in monitor lights, but there were far too many of yall.....
I will make mention that for a second there was a UNITY flashback with Messiah Carey and CasUno hosting the show right quick (that was my highlight...Well, that and the 13 - 17 chics I invited showing up!)
peace suckas.

Sabotage minus the Beastie Bwoys.....

Despite the standing room turned sit down style, the horrible sound the AS220 ommits, and the fact we ended up rocking the floor and not the stage; I have to admit, not only was last Friday's show fun, it seemed highly entertaining to those who attended. I'd like to shout Esh, Rock Solid, Ref, and Bums on a great performance and my man Storm Diesel on the merch help outs. I saw many a person that actually came through the doors to watch we get down and even more who remained outside and/or at the bar not willing to shell out shillings to peep the science. 'Tis all good, we had fun and that was the best part of the night. I think a lot of heads forget this is supposed to be fun, taking the all too serious approach in attempting to gain attention. That's neither here nor there, nor my business, so lemme big up Esh's parents for coming through once again, my man Rodney, Sterby Rock, Save1, Josh Delekta, money who does 90.3 on Thursdays (sorry yo, I forgot ya name), and anyone else who was respectfull enough to watch we rock by actually entering the venue....I'll admit, despite the aforementioned problemattics, the show exceeded my expectations of performing at a venue I pretty much do not wish to perform at, preference wise, and we all ended up pretty drunk and happy by the end of the evening...enough to make a Saki's stop before jumping on the 19Fever....
peace and respect to those that show peace and respect...The rest of yall are funny styles. But IF? that's how yall get down, so be it. I'm too old and so are yall, for anyone to be lecturing anyone on ethics. Squeeze.

What up deuce double oh infinite inhabitants!!!
We're gonna set the New Year off with a likkle display of lyricism and vibes by way of Sneaky Pete at the AS220 on January 18th....I guess there's some rock bands gettin' biz at said show as well, so come through and get ya culture cypher 'gwan...The night looks like this so far:

Dante 9:15-9:30
Labeless Illtelligence 9:35-10:15
Sneaky w/Crown Trout 10:20-11:40

Rest In Peace....

Big Rest In Peace shout to Brother David Reed, a great positive influence in the life of CasUno, who passed away suddenly over the New Year's Holiday at the age of 38. Many thoughts and prayers go to your brothers and family, my man. You will be sorely missed.
